The Balson family have been running their butchers shop in Dorset since 1535, making them the oldest butchers in the country.
Whilst the butchers shop remains in the same location as it has since the 16th century, the company now sells their unique meat products online across the stretch of the UK and over in the United States.
Now predominantly run by a younger generation of Balsons, the family were looking for a brand that brings the company into the modern world, but doesn’t loose touch with their proud history.
The logo makes use of negative space shaping four of the most popular animal meats sold in the butcher shop. I produced stationery sets, a website and email marketing campaigns for the new brand. I also created visuals of how the brand could be implemented onto packaging, as the family are looking to start selling their award winning meat products in supermarkets.
